Site Builder & Hosting

When I was searching what could be the best site builder and the hosting, I consider a couple aspect that I found interesting to me. It's worth mentioning that this parameter would reflect what is important to me. The first one is the price. I don't have enough money, and I'm trying to save on everything. I know that I will have to invest if I want a good web page and also if I want to be visible, so, if I can save a couple dollars and the I will receive the same, then I will go with them. The second important thing is if I can receive some credit to use in Google Ads or other platform. I believe that this thing is helpful, because starting a new online business any free thing will count. The third thing is how friendly is the host and the site builder. I'm not an expert working on the web, or creating web pages, so I need something that I could do by myself and don't take long hours trying to figure out how to make it. The fourth thing is the support. As a rookie in this thing, I will need support, and as I'm located outside the United States, I would need 24/7 support. The fifth thing is reputation. I don't want to begin building my webpage in a Host that will shut down suddenly because it was not legitimate or profitable.

After all this analysis, I will choose Hostgator. Because this hosting meets all the thing that I was looking. This hosting use Wordpress to build the site, and all the tutorial show this program very easy to use. Using this hosting and Wordpress, in less than two hours I would have my website ready to start working.

Affiliate or Drop Shipping

What a wonderful week. Today I felt that my eyes were opened, however, at the same time it were closed. Last week I was sure that the best option to run an online business it was using the Drop Shipping method. But today, after to read more about the Affiliate system I feel like I'm in the limbo. I was thinking that open an online business means profit almost immediately, but there is not too easy, or in other words, is not too fast. Drop Shipping had their own pro and con, there are a something that I really like, and for a minute I was sure that if I opened my own online business, this system would be my right choose.

However, the Affiliate system is something that I could be doing without much effort (doesn't mean that I don't want to work), but I mean that I could be doing something in parallel without too much risk. I don't want to jump in the pool just yet, but I'm considering a viable the Affiliate method for the circumstances I'm living in right now.

Choosing a Business

I guess, today it was the first time when I sat down and think to open my own business. I don't know exactly want I want yet, but I believe, I made the first step, and take the decision to run my own business. At the beginning I was thinking something big, like American Airlines, or Coca Cola company, but I figure out that there are thousand of other things that I could do and to be successful. An online business is easier than I thought, however, I'm still making me the same question, which one is the right for me? What's better, to choose a product or a business model? One business model or multiple ones?
Even though I'm totally sure that I'm not going to get the answer the first week, nevertheless, there is one thing that I must do it, and this thing is to open my mind. A brainstorm probably will not come down easily, but if I don't try I never will know if I'm capable to run my own online business. There are a lot of things to learn, I know that, however, I embark on this adventure and with more optimism to get results.

Wise or Foolish

In the parable of the ten virgins I found a principle that I considerer to myself as my own opinion. The ten virgins represent the church, in specific the members. All the virgins are in age to be in a weeding, is the same in the church, our time is counting from our baptism, because all thing before that where forgiven. So, this virgins they had all the time to prepared for the weeding, is the same with us, we have all the time, day after day to prepare us for the day when the Lord come back or when He called us and we die. Until this day we have to put oil in our lamp. So we have a entire life to do it. Now, it's impossible to think that we are going to full the lamp in one day, this is not how this lamp work. Our lamp is not like our car, that in five minutes we can full with gas and the car will road. This spiritual oil take time to get a drop, and day after day we our fulling our lamp with drop after drop.

What thing will help to get am oil drop? As member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, the Lord expects that we do something like, keep the commandment, pay our tithing, fast and give a offering, attend to the church every week and participate in the sacrament, serve other accepting calling, receiving all the ordinances in the temple and to me the most important, live according all those thing. This is daily work, is impossible to do all this thing in one day, that the reason because Jesus called them wise and foolish. If we are wise and we really are listening, we will act as the wise virgins and we will have enough oil in our lamp. But contrary, we can act as the foolish virgins, and not worry about if there is enough oil in the lamp to wait until the bridegroom come.

Now, everyone know if we are acting as wise or foolish virgin. The thing that must know and be very clear is when the day come nobody could help us giving us oil because our lamp it was empty.

Savior's triumphant entry into Jerusalem

This week it was inevitable not to bring at my memory one of my favorite trip in my entire life to Jerusalems. One thing in the story of Luke about the Savior's triumphal entry into Jerusalem is in the verses 41 to 44.
"And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the thing which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation".
The interesting thing about those verses is that Jews didn't recognize the Savior. I think that there were two reason because He cried when saw the city. The first is for their hardness and the second is because He knew the thing will happen the Jews people.
Now reflecting when Jesus saw the city and cried, can be a metaphor of us. We are in the world surrounded of people and when He saw in my direction what is He seeing? when He see me, what can He see?
When I was visit Jerusalem five years ago I was in the same place when Jesus saw the city and then cried, and one thing that shocked me it was, what about if I was one of those who didn't recognize Him and one of His tear it was for me, because I am hardness.
When I looked my personal life and the thing that I have done, is tough to admit that multiple time I have been like one of those people in Jerusalem that even though Him, they preferred not recognize Him as the Savior and His King.

A good Samaritan

In Luke 10 we found the parable about the good Samaritan. In this parable there are a lot interesting thing to introduce us in a world full of symbolism. But there are a couple thing that I would like to share in this blog.

The first thing is about the man. In Luke 10:30 said that the "man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho". Jerusalem in those days represented the Temple, in other words a holy place and Jericho represented the fall, because the city of Jericho is under the below sea level. Now this man leave the holy place or the presence of God and went to the world. In his journey, a dangerous path, but he took the decision and went forth. Even though the path from one city to the other was dangerous for travelers, the question is why he took it? why he took the risk? Maybe there was something important in Jericho to take the risk. Now after the man suffer the attack from the thieves, and almost die, is interesting how this man is representing all of us. One day we left the God presence and came to this world, and during our path for this mortal life we will suffer different kind of injury or attack, some of this attack will not been too dangerous and other will left us like this man, almost die in the middle of our journey.

The second thing is about this other the Samaritan, in the verse 33 said "but a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion on him". In this point the Samaritan represent our Savior, and He was also in this road, in a dangerous road to him too. When He saw the man, like the scripture said " he had compassion on him", if all of us are represented for the man, this mean that the Savior had compassion for all of us, independent of our injury. Whom else could take care us in this way? Who will pay for us? What the Samaritan did for this man is the same that He is doing today for us. He always is for us when we need to heal our injuries.

The third thing is how can I do the same? or in other words to reply the words of the Lord to the certain lawyer, in the verse 37 "Go, and do thou likewise". Maybe we'll feel not able to help anybody because we have a lot of need to be satisfied, but certainly when we do even a little bit like minister other, we'll be healing one injury, and then another one will be heal. I guess the important thing is not become like the priest or the levite.

I am ready for the seed

This week I stoped in the parable of the sower, in Matthew 13:18-23 where the Lord explained to his disciples. But, when I was reading it was not hard to bring me back some memories that gave me a different point of view of this parable. During my entire life I always applied this parable to the people non member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint, but in this opportunity I applied to myself. The way that I applied to myself if was focus in the ground and not in the seed, (we know that the seed is good), but the my ground where the seed will be put it, it was my problem. How many time in my own life the ground was not ready, how many days I lost invaluable time because the seed couldn't grow up just for the ground it was not ready. So, I made me the question, how important is the ground to me? and What am I doing to become in fertile ground?

Maybe there are many ways to prepare the ground, but I selected one, which one it will take time to develop that at the end will work. I'm working in one Christlike attribute the Humility. For the next six week I will working on specific goals which allow me to become more like Christ and at the same time it will be one nutrient to the soil.
